Rendezvous: A Nik Byron Investigation
Nik Byron’s fledgling career as a novelist and stay-at-home dad is cut short when Max Lawler, a bureaucrat and an old friend of Samantha Whyte’s, is mysteriously killed overseas. Whyte, now the chief of staff to the vice president of the United States, suspects Lawler of having CIA ties and a skeptical Nik reluctantly returns to Newshound to pursue the story. Soon Nik is caught up in an intricate plot that triggers an international chain reaction, setting off alarms in Washington, Moscow, and Mexico City.
